Harvest Bible Chapel is a 95,000 sf (Phase 1) church facility expandable to 150,000 sf. HBC’s intention is to initially use the double gym in Phase 1 as their new worship facility until Phase 2 is completed. The classrooms, gym and administration areas are intended to be used for both HBC’s children, youth and adult ministries as well as a future elementary school. After performing due diligence services for the client, Maple Reinders was retained under a Construction Management contract to build the first phase of the new structure. The initial two-storey facility includes administration space, classrooms, youth area, kitchen, fire-side lounge, café, fitness area, changerooms, washrooms and a double gymnasium (which will also serve as the temporary sanctuary). Due to the size of the congregation, complex audio, video, acoustic and lighting systems have been incorporated into the facility. The Phase 2 addition will include a new theatre-style auditorium (including wide-angle platform and backstage green rooms/workshops), additional classrooms, counselling/compassion ministry area, prayer rooms, chapel, training rooms, bookstore, library and a spacious entry lobby.
