The Brant Hills Community Centre and Tyandaga Branch Library was a joint venture between the City of Burlington and the Burlington Public Library. Maple Reinders undertook the renovation of the Brant Hills Community Centre for the City of Burlington, including the addition of a new gymnasium. On behalf of the Burlington Public Library, our team also added a 6,700 sf branch library to the existing community centre. The combined facility was designed with a shared central foyer, allowing easy access to both the Community Centre and the Library. The Community Centre component includes two full size gymnasiums, meeting rooms, a kitchen and change room facilities accessible from both the interior and exterior of the building. The new Library includes a children’s area, program room, computer stations, and comfortable seating areas. The project incorporated considerable site work, including new parking areas, retaining walls, and exterior seating areas.
