Maple Reinders worked closely with Ni-Met Metals to design and build a new office building providing the owner with new office space and additional leasable space. The 30,000 sf three-storey facility is faced with cutainwall glazing with a suspended entrance canopy. The scope of work also included surface car parking for 46 vehicles as well as a basement parkade with a heated concrete ramp that can accommodate up to 20 additional vehicles. Maple Reinders was subsequently retained to complete the third floor fit-out for Ni-Met. The reception area includes a feature wall and a comfortable seating area under a striking architectural lighting fixture. The open office space in the centre is designed to maximize work flow and accessiblity, while the perimeter offices are spacious and take full advantage of daylighting. A large boardroom with a floating ceiling opens onto a walk-out rooftop patio. The fit-out also included a cafeteria and an employee fitness facility. Maple Reinders also completed base finishes to the first and second floor rentable office space.
