Advanced manufacturing and industrial projects demand more than conventional construction expertise. They often involve highly specialized processes, integrated equipment, strict safety requirements, and facilities that must support efficiency, resilience, and long-term performance.
Maple Reinders brings national construction expertise to these challenges while staying grounded in the realities of each individual project. That means understanding the operational environment, the owner’s production goals, the technical systems involved, and the need to deliver facilities that perform from day one.
From heavy manufacturing and process facilities to specialized production environments, we deliver projects with a focus on collaboration, constructability, and lasting value.
We bring experience delivering advanced manufacturing and industrial projects that require careful planning, technical precision, and disciplined execution.
Every facility has unique production, process, and equipment requirements. We tailor our approach to the realities of the operation and the owner’s long-term goals.
We work closely with owners, consultants, trades, and equipment stakeholders to support alignment across base building systems, process requirements, and delivery milestones.
Whether managing hazardous materials, specialized containment requirements, or complex industrial systems, we deliver with a clear commitment to safety, resilience, and quality.
Our advanced manufacturing portfolio reflects Maple Reinders’ ability to deliver technically demanding facilities while responding to the operational, safety, and performance requirements that define project success.

In December of 2023 Maple Reinders began a siteworks project for the Caledon headquarters of ATS Containers. The two focuses of this project were to improve the site, and to implement a stormwater management system for the property. Throughout the course of the construction, which took less than a year to complete, Maple Reinders was responsible for the grading and landscaping of a swale along the site perimeter, as well as the installation and servicing of a stormwater management tank. Additionally, the exterior of the site received several improvements. In the front parking area, a privacy fence was put up, along with a new gate, which was modified to suit the new design. The parking lot itself was also revamped, repaved with asphalt, and concrete curbs were added. An accessibility ramp was also constructed.
Throughout the duration of this project, our team on site were presented with a few challenges which they had to work around. Firstly, the property lines of the site were unclear. Waste from one the neighbouring businesses was interfering with the project, so Maple became responsible for the relocation and disposal of some of the garbage. A second complication was the fact that ATS Containers continued to operate and conduct business throughout our team’s time on site. Items were shipped in and out on a regular basis while construction progressed, making it necessary that the client’s business and our work on site occur sequentially. This was achieved through daily communication and collaboration between Maple’s site supervisor and the client’s property yard manager.

Maple Reinders was selected by Verus Partners to design and build two prestige industrial buildings, together comprising approximately 350,000 SF.
A 17-acre development, Deerfoot South Trade Park is located on the west side of Aero Drive in Calgary, with close access to Deerfoot Trail. The newly built-up area has attracted high profile companies such as Staples, Purolator, Federal Express and Grand & Toy. The site’s proximity to the Calgary Airport offers excellent accessibility in a prominent location.
The buildings include 28’ clear ceiling height, 40’ x 50’ typical bay size with a 50’ loading bay, ESFR fire protection, insulated precast concrete exterior walls, EPDM roof system (R-20 throughout), 7” slab, a 220 foot truck court, and plentiful car parking.
Maple Reinders completed Phase I (totaling 180,000 SF), which is fully leased to Supply Chain Management, service provider for Wal-Mart. Phase II offers 170,000 SF of office and warehouse space available for multi-tenant use.
Maple Reinders was awarded a Design-Build contract by GFS for the expansion of their existing facility in Edmonton. The existing facility was expanded on the west, north, and east elevations and included: dry warehouse expansion (34,434 SF), new cooler warehouse (7,999 SF), new freezer warehouse (37,157 SF) addition to ICP freezer (12,131 SF) and an additional 17,287 SF for Intercity Packers.
A new access road was built for trucks to two new dock levelers, including new approach and gate access and the south parking lot expansion for trailer and truck parking. Complex coordination was required on this project as the existing building and parking continued to operate 24/7, and Maple Reinders had to tie into this building for water, fire protection systems and refrigeration systems.
Legacy Business Centre is centrally located in the coveted Mississauga market within the Greater Toronto Area. This premier development, consisting of two buildings, offers a total of 193,910 square feet of industrial condos. Built by Maple Reinders for Beedie Construction, these condos range in size from 11,000 square feet to 17,000 square feet, providing businesses with the opportunity to own commercial real estate within a professionally managed development. Notably, this project marks Beedie’s first foray into Ontario, with additional similar projects planned for the Greater Toronto Area and Alberta.
The buildings themselves boast several impressive features, including concrete tilt-up insulated panels, ensuring durability and thermal efficiency. Each bay is equipped with both dock and grade loading options, accommodating diverse logistical needs. With 26-foot clear height ceilings, businesses benefit from ample vertical space. High-efficiency LED warehouse lighting enhances energy savings and illumination. Mezzanine areas offer extra storage or office space, maximizing functionality. Additionally, the buildings incorporate warehouse skylights, allowing natural light to fill the space and creating a vibrant working environment.
Maple Reinders was selected by Panattoni to design and build a 754,690 SF office/distribution centre for Whirlpool Canada. The facility incorporates a 746,840 SF warehouse/production area, a 1,450 SF shipping office and a 6,400 SF main office. A guardhouse was also constructed for the task of monitoring the front entrance.
The building includes 31’ clear ceiling height, 80’ marshaling bays, seventy-five (75) dock doors and two drive-in doors with concrete on-grade drive-in ramps. The building exterior consists of precast concrete ribbed panels in the warehouse area and a white smooth finished panel in the office areas.
The facility also incorporates FM compliant roofing and FM compliant fire protection system. This state-of-the-art warehouse includes a sophisticated security system, and a computerized inventory system complete with RF scanning linked to a computer-directed logistics within the warehouse. As well, the building incorporates several environmental elements such as energy-efficient warehouse lighting on motion sensors, a white roof, and electric lift trucks complete with an automated battery maintenance system.
Sitework includes parking for approximately 86 employee parking stalls, and 415 truck parking stalls with allowance for an additional 72 spaces. Maple Reinders also constructed a canopy for the addition of a CN Rail spur line.
Canpar’s expansion plans included the construction of a new sorting and distribution facility on a brownfield site owned by the Toronto Economic Development Corporation (TEDCO). Maple Reinders was awarded the contract to demolish existing concrete foundations on site, and to subsequently design and build the new structure. The new terminal is approximately 170,000 square feet on a 16-acre site and incorporates a distribution warehouse with an adjoining office. The Toronto facility is one of the most state-of-the-art sorting centers in the world, utilizing two Sandvik SBIR MD cross-belt sorters.
The project was also the first LEED® certified industrial facility in Canada, implementing such sustainability features as:
