Churchill Meadows Christian Church is a worship facility with a 650-seat theatre-style auditorium that includes an expansive podium and backstage green room facilities. The remainder of the building houses staff offices, classrooms, a gymnasium, more than 8,000 SF of dedicated children’s space including a nursery, youth activity room, outdoor play area, and an 80-seat coffee shop. The owner’s intent was to create a space that functions as both a church and a community centre.
Some major construction features include a stained and polished concrete slab-on-grade, gypsum board curved acoustical diffusers, and a vertical displacement HVAC system in the sanctuary. An 865-gallon fibreglass walk-in baptistry pool was also installed on the sanctuary podium.
A new access road was built for trucks to two new dock levelers, including new approach and gate access and the south parking lot expansion for trailer and truck parking.
