Canadian owned and operated, Schlegel Villages is owner and operator of high quality long term care and retirement Villages across Ontario. Currently, there are 15 Schlegel Villages housing approximately 2,500 seniors. Maple Reinders was awarded the third phase of development, The Village of Taunton Mills in Whitby, Ontario.
Maple Reinders was brought on board early in the design process to assist with selection of materials, constructability analysis, selection of major structural systems and project budgeting. The development consists of one level of underground parking for 62 vehicles. The above grade construction is an eight-storey tower with two separate three-story wings attached.
Amenity space that will be constructed as part of Phase III includes a chapel, day program spaces, laundry, hobby shop, art studio, and kitchen. Maple Reinders will also be expanding the existing dining hall and office space.
