Maple Reinders was retained to construct a new facility to provide quality affordable housing and supportive living services for seniors in Kelowna. The facility has capacity for 44 live-in patients and includes laundry, bathing, dining and commercial kitchen facilities.
An existing care facility had to be maintained during construction, so the project was constructed in two phases while leaving the old facility in operation. Once phase 1 was completed, the patients were re-located to the new facility and the old facility was demolished.
Maple Reinders was recognized for their work on this project with a Commercial Building Award for Community Seniors Housing from the Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board, in recognition of construction excellence.
