Maple Reinders delivered a new 157,000 square foot manufacturing facility for Siltech Corporation in Fort Erie, Ontario. The purpose-built facility brings production, research, warehousing and office functions together in one location.
The facility includes three production wings, a large warehouse, research and development and quality control laboratories, and a two-storey office area. A heavy-duty structural steel frame supports the demands of Siltech’s specialized silicone manufacturing operations.
Safety and environmental protection were key considerations in the facility’s design. Recessed production floors, depressed warehouse slabs and high-capacity trench drainage systems help contain materials within designated areas. The facility also includes a 30,000-gallon oil interceptor system, advanced fire protection, gas detection and explosion-proof electrical systems.
Extensive use of Building Information Modeling helped coordinate the building systems with Siltech’s process equipment and custom material-handling solutions.
Through careful planning and close collaboration, Maple delivered a highly specialized manufacturing facility designed around Siltech’s operational needs. The project was completed with zero lost-time injuries, reflecting a strong commitment to safety throughout construction.
Maple Reinders renovated and modernized Coca-Cola’s Hamilton, Ontario facility, upgrading the building envelope, warehouse and approximately 5,000 square feet of office space while maintaining operations throughout construction.
Maple Reinders designed and constructed a 145,000 square foot expansion to Aisin Canada’s manufacturing facility in Stratford, Ontario, adding new production, storage, office and employee spaces to support current operations and future growth.
