Congebec Freezer Building Expansion

Award of this project was a result of Maple Reinders preparing a Storm Water Management Report (SWMR) and preliminary design services for Congebec’s freezer building expansion. At the request of Congebec, Maple Reinders engaged consulting design firms to design a new SWMR for the existing facility and expansion on the basis that the current stormwater evaporative would be infilled and the stormwater would need to be routed to the City of Calgary collection system.

The design of the facility expansion needed to be at 60% completion in order to submit the SWMR and Deep Site Servicing Plan (DSSP) and have it approved by the City of Calgary.

As a result of the new SWMR, additional scope of work was added to the Design-Build contract for the expansion including a freezer, swing freezer, cold dock, mechanical/electrical with tie-ins to the existing building and staff mezzanine area.
