Producers of dairy and ice cream products, Kawartha Dairy required a new building to store their final products and to further expand operations. The building consists of a 18,440 SF freezer, 10,658 SF of refrigerated storage, with the balance of the 60,000 SF facility consisting of 10 truck docks and supporting storage.
The project also included a fire protection water storage tank with septic drain fields, a 44kV transformer, diesel fire pump, fueling station and power lines. The Maple Reinders team was able to reduce the facility’s electrical running costs by approximately 30% by utilizing a compressor rack system rather than the standard straight compressors
