Public Storage – Richmond Hill

Maple Reinders designed and built a new self-storage facility for Public Storage, comprised of a three-storey storage building with an integrated office component. It features architectural precast concrete paneling as well as energy efficient insulated metal panels and multiple windows. The entire property is fully access controlled, and under 24-hour video surveillance. The principal building is climate controlled and all units on the property are equipped with individual alarm systems.

The facility was built using the latest available technologies to ensure that it is ‘green compliant.’ All warehouse lighting is energy efficient and controlled by motion sensors limiting energy usage when the building is vacant. A computer system allows management to remotely monitor and control all heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems ensuring that the building is running efficiently and that during peak demand hours, the facility is minimizing the amount of energy used.
