Showa Corporation is a Japanese-owned conglomerate whose origins are in aircraft component manufacturing. Currently, they are a leading parts manufacturer for the automotive industry. Maple Reinders was awarded the contract to design and build new facilities for Showa Canada Inc., a subsidiary of a Japanese auto parts manufacturer. A new plant was built in Schomberg, Ontario to produce shock absorbers for end use by Honda Canada and CAMI Automotive. The 48,000 sf two-storey office and plant is situated on 60 acres of land. The building was specifically designed for future expansion. Two years after completing the original building, Maple Reinders also carried out a warehouse addition, paint line expansion and parking lot expansion.
